Italy, the reigning European champions, have secured their place in the Euro 2024 finals in Germany after a goalless draw against Ukraine in their final Group C qualifier. The draw was enough to maintain their unbeaten record in the group and finish top with 22 points, six ahead of second-placed England. Italy will now join 23 other qualified teams in the tournament draw, which will be held in December 2023.

Qualifying Campaign

Italy's qualifying campaign was relatively straightforward, as they won seven of their eight matches and drew the remaining one. They conceded only twice throughout the group stage, showcasing their defensive solidity. Ukraine finished second in the group with 16 points, while England secured third place with 14 points. Scotland, who also finished with 14 points, missed out on a playoff spot due to an inferior head-to-head record against England.

Euro 2024 Draw

The draw for Euro 2024 will be held in Frankfurt, Germany, on December 9, 2023. The 24 qualified teams will be divided into six groups of four teams each. The top two teams from each group will advance to the knockout stage, along with the four best third-placed teams. The tournament will be played in ten different cities across Germany from June 14 to July 14, 2024.
