Pelicans Kings Injury Report

Sacramento Kings Open as 15-Point Favorites to Defeat New Orleans Pelicans in NBA Play-In Tournament

Pelicans Face Elimination Without Star Zion Williamson

April 11, 2024 | 3:44 PM ET

The Sacramento Kings (45-34) will host the New Orleans Pelicans (47-34) in a crucial NBA Play-In Tournament game on Thursday night. The Kings are listed as 15-point favorites to win the game, according to BetMGM.

The Pelicans will be without their star player, Zion Williamson, who suffered a left hamstring strain in the team's loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday. Williamson is expected to miss the next two games, which puts the Pelicans in a tough spot as they try to avoid elimination.

The Kings have struggled against the Pelicans more than any other team this season, losing all three of their meetings. However, the Pelicans have not been at full strength in any of those games, so it is difficult to say how they will perform without Williamson on the court.

The Pelicans won 49 games this season, their most since winning 49 games as the Hornets in the 2008-09 season. They are a dangerous team even without Williamson, so the Kings will need to be at their best to win this game.
