Celtic Edges Out City 4 3 In Chapel Hill

Manchester City FC Kicks Off Pre-Season Tour with a Defeat

Celtic Edges Out City 4-3 in Chapel Hill

Manchester City Football Club's pre-season tour of the United States got off to a rocky start on Wednesday evening as they suffered a 4-3 defeat against Celtic FC in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

Despite taking an early lead through a penalty from Riyad Mahrez, City found themselves trailing 3-1 at half-time thanks to goals from Kyogo Furuhashi, Liel Abada, and David Turnbull. City battled back in the second half with goals from Erling Haaland and Jack Grealish, but Celtic's Giorgos Giakoumakis secured the win with a late strike in the 89th minute.

The result was a disappointment for City, who are looking to build on their Premier League title win last season. However, it is important to note that this was only a pre-season friendly, and there is still plenty of time for City to improve their form before the start of the new campaign.
