WEB Spain set up a blockbuster quarter-final tie with Euro 2024 hosts Germany by surviving an early scare to ease past Georgia.

Robin Le Normand scored an early own goal but Rodri equalised before half time and Spain moved through the gears after the break with goals from Dani Olmo, Ferran Torres and Mikel Oyarzabal.

Spain will now face Germany in Munich on Tuesday in what is a repeat of the Euro 2008 final, which Spain won 1-0.

Luis Enrique's side started slowly and were fortunate not to fall further behind after Le Normand's own goal.

But Rodri's equaliser settled Spain down and they were much improved after the break, with Olmo, Torres and Oyarzabal all finding the net.

Georgia goalkeeper Giorgi Loria produced a string of fine saves to keep the score down but Spain were always in control.

The victory means Spain have now won their last three matches at Euro 2024 and they will be confident of beating Germany and reaching the semi-finals.
