For those who grew up in Houston, KHOU-TV was a staple in our homes. We watched it for our local news, weather, and sports. And we all had our favorite anchors. Here's a list of some of the former KHOU-TV news anchors who helped shape our memories:
Dave Ward
Dave Ward was a KHOU-TV news anchor from 1984 to 2006. He was known for his warm and friendly demeanor, and he was a trusted source of news for Houstonians. Ward retired from KHOU-TV in 2006, but he still makes occasional appearances on the station.
Shern-Min Chow
Shern-Min Chow was a KHOU-TV news anchor from 1995 to 2013. She was the first Asian-American woman to anchor a major newscast in Houston. Chow was known for her hard-hitting journalism and her dedication to the community. She left KHOU-TV in 2013 to join KTRK-TV.
Lisa Mallicoat
Lisa Mallicoat was a KHOU-TV news anchor from 1999 to 2007. She was known for her bubbly personality and her infectious laugh. Mallicoat left KHOU-TV in 2007 to join KTRK-TV, where she still works today.
Bob Slovak
